Chansoo was Shinjurou's roommate, and classmate, during their days at the University of California. The two parted on good terms after Shinjurou decided to go back to Japan and he started work in Pittsburg. Chansoo was a biotech major, but took an interest in embalming. Despite his family's disapproval and his younger brother who supported him, Chansoo switched his major to embalming. His dream is to bring professional embalming techniques to China and change the stigma surrounding it.
