Ema Maeda (真枝 絵馬, Maeda Ema?) appears in the epilogue of the Love Hina manga, Volume 14, which is set four years after the end of the main storyline. A timid 15 year old girl who dabbles in conspiracy theories, Ema hopes to get into Tokyo University so she can improve her life and have a shot at people, especially boys, to notice her. In order to achieve this she left home to gain residence at the "legendary" Hinata Inn which is believed to have the power to get anyone into Tokyo U. She has poor grades, ranging in the forties, is very self-conscious, and is rather clumsy. When first appearing at the Hinata Inn her introduction mirrors Keitaro's as she is chased out of the hot springs, being mistaken for a peeping tom. In awe of all the beautiful girls in Hinata Inn she accidentally steals Naru's wedding veil, tripping a theft alarm in the process, and winds up then fleeing the scene with Keitaro the day before the wedding. Despite a shaky first day, everything is set right when she is given a thank you kiss by Naru for finding and returning both her veil and groom. It is at this moment that she realizes&mdash;after some encouragement by Shinobu as well as beating the rest of the girls in catching the wedding bouquet&mdash;she can achieve her dreams&mdash;which include being just like Naru&mdash;no matter what, if she just tries hard enough.
