Hidaka was saved by Ueda one night from a classmate who was harassing him. The day after that night, he follows Ueda and admires the policemen's chivalry, later declaring that he wants to become a policeman as well. Hidaka has often been bullied by delinquents and doesn't know how to deal with them at all. Therefore when Koyama Yoshimi, a delinquent from his school, tries to get to know him, Hidaka keeps running away from him.
