Danae was the daughter and only child of King Acrisius of Argos by his wife Queen Eurydice or Aganippe. Danaë's father, King Acrisius of Argos has her to live in a tower because of the prophecy of him, the king not baring a son, but his only child having one. Then Zeus comes to the tower to save Danaë, and Danaë has a son with Zeus.
