Shikunshi is a spirit who has avoided turning into a dragon god for hundreds of years, claiming that being a servant to Shuro is enough. He has the appearance of an elderly man, and is also the one sent to ask for Tsuwabuki's hand in marriage. After Tsuwabuki and Shuro get married, Shikunshi often listens to Shuro complain about their troubles. Later on, Shikunshi takes pity on Ginsen and allows her to live at their home, despite her ungratefulness.
