Danzaki was Kengo's boss, before their company was bought by a Chinese company. He was assigned to the Cofdeece Residential Facility, but, just as Kengo arrived, he was wheeled out in a hurry, having sustained injuries. Later on, Kengo is told that Danzaki had slit his own throat, though it was passed off as an accident. Eventually, he also finds out from Miwa that Danzaki had died.
