After hearing that O-Suzu wanted to claim O-Mitsu's unborn son as her own, O-Mitsu pressured Toyoji to poison her. Three years later, O-Mitsu harbors a lot of contempt and fright towards Manjuro, the son of Toyoji and O-Suzu, and towards Toyoji for choosing to accept him within the family.
