Mamoru is a half-human, half-incubus man. After being traumatized at witnessing his father's "teachings" on how to feed on humans, he vowed to reject his demonic half and live as a stand-up human. Despite his wishes, his need to consume life force constantly draws trouble to him and he suffers from constant headaches and nausea. He refuses to have sex with others as he believes it should only be done with someone you love. After meeting Radu and taking in his life force, Mamoru agrees to become his familiar and attend manga conventions in his stead.
