He wore a white three-piece suit, modeled after the James Bond suits that were popular at the time, and repeatedly brought his manuscripts to various publishers in an attache case. His Western-style illustrations caught the attention of Bunjin Shimizu , and he wrote for "Manga Story," "Additional Manga Story Action Special Issue," and "Weekly Manga Action. Shimizu took the liberty of listing the author's name of "The Leopard of the Vietcong" in "Manga Story" as "Baron Yoshimoto" without asking him, on the grounds that the name "Tadashi Yoshimoto" was too plain.
