The protagonist of the story and a 2nd year student at Eisei High School. A non-confrontational and unremarkable young man, but able to find an approach to any person, for which he was elected as the class president for the second year in a row. Former basketball player, formerly of the middle school basketball team. He has a little sister, Ei, whom he often looks after, so he has developed a responsible character and is ready to lend a helping hand to anyone if he sees the need for it. After entering Eisei High School, he also joined the basketball club, but in one friendly match he was found guilty of fighting with another team during a match as an instigator of it, and therefore left the club. Appreciating his communication skills, his homeroom teacher Kanzaki Shizuru asked Kisumi to get closer to Arisaka Yoruka so that she could become friends with her class through him. Kisumi accepted her request and began to seek Yoruka's trust, but along the way he falls in love with Yoruka and on the last day of the first year confesses his feelings to her, getting her consent.
