Nótt is a character from Book V of Fire Emblem Heroes. She's the twin sister of Dagr and the eldest princess of the Kingdom of Jötunheimr. Three years before the events of Book V, Nótt and Dagr were told by their Mother that they had to fight each other in order to prove who was greater in order to inherit the throne. Dagr refused, for she didn't want to turn against her own sister. Nótt however, readily complied, knowing that it was the Queen's orders and to know if she herself was worthy enough to ascend the throne. Dagr was furious with Nótt for siding against her on the matter, despite herself not being pleased about it either, and simply replying that 'strength in competition is how the Queen of Jotunhiemr has been selected for generations.' After this event, Dagr avoided and refused to speak to Nótt, though later accepted the situation even if the sisters have kept their distance since then. Years later, after reminiscing about the events that took place then, Nótt noted how strong she has gotten, looking forward to the match against each other in order to settle the matter once and for all. As the Order of Heroes reaches Barnstokkr, Dagr points out that on their way to Nótt, she hasn't seen a single Jötunheimr soldier in the forts leading up to the castle, and then figures out that Nótt never intended to give Gramr to the Order of Heroes, and sets up an ambush for them instead. Capturing Kiran, she hands both them and Gramr over to Ótr, who manipulated her by promising to marry her. After her defeat at Dagr's hands, despite cooperating with Ótr to give him both Gramr and the Summoner and turning her blade against her sister and the Order of Heroes while knowing that she was being manipulated but still love-struck with him, Dagr brushes over that and asks her to aid the Order of Heroes to compensate instead, which she agrees to since she deeply regrets her foolish actions. After returning to Askr, Nott proposed to prepare a meal for the order of heroes to apologised for what she has done to them and to the summoner.
