Appears in <i>Mermaid's Gaze</i>. Akiko's younger brother. Shingo had violent tendencies and blamed his sister for all that went wrong in his life. After both of them eat mermaid's flesh in an attempted double suicide, it is only Akiko that "dies", and Shingo sets fire to the mansion and is later killed in revenge by his father. A century later, he keeps returning to his family's mansion, demanding that the remaining caretakers give him the doll kept within the mansion.
