At 99, Kiyoba is the oldest person in the village. She is bedridden and relies on Iku-chan and the other neighbors, who gladly help her. Even though she gets tired easily, Kiyoba enjoys being visited by the children and playing with them. She has several children of her own, who live far away from the island.
