Ippongi Kazushi is a member of the Yakuza and a director of the Nakamura Factory. He's a flashy looking businessman who has an outwardly kind personality and is popular with the ladies. His life as a single parent appears stable. He cooks a family meal once a month despite being a terrible cook. His only child, Ippongi Musashi, is defiant to him. He wants his son to go to college after he finished high school but Musashi's determination not to go. He reprimands his son for skipping classes by taking his cell phone away and it's also been noted he will physically abuse him behind closed doors. He keeps up on Musashi's high school education by calling his homeroom teacher's personal phone for regular updates. Kazushi quickly comes to like the homeroom teacher, Ueda Wataru, because he treats his son like any other student and doesn't let him slack off. Eventually, he uses his son as an excuse to call Wataru every day; having developed feelings for him. He admits to Wataru that he's prettier without his glasses on. He's often unable to keep his hands off the teacher which is okay because Wataru secretly likes it.
